Enjoy some Mugi-Cha

A pony lying and drinking barley tea

When I was studying in Japan, cold 麦茶 (mugi-cha, barley tea) was the local summer drink of choice. The bitter taste might take some getting used to, but it’s wonderfully refreshing on a hot day, so that’s what came to my mind for “Draw a pony under pressure/Draw a pony feeling the heat”, the topic of EQD Artist Training Grounds, day 17. I think “Neighponese” was the common ponification for Japanese, right? So have a Neighponese farmer pony enjoying some cool 麦茶. Pencil drawing with digital cleanup and color.

Link of the day: “Quarrel” (incredibly cute comic with deep background, also: psychologist Twilight)
